Amazon has introduced a whole new suite of benefits that can help sellers to grow their brand, scale their business, and promote their products! It is based on Amazon’s Perfect Launch Playbook, which is a structured program to assist Amazon sellers to generate sales more quickly by making use of brand registry, A+ content, fulfillment by amazon, automated pricing, and advertising.

We have passed the second anniversary of Walmart Fulfillment Services launching, which is the equivalent of Amazon’s FBA program. The platform’s low-cost fulfillment solution has seen 500% growth in its gross merchandise volume, and it is expected to continue to increase.

You can now use Linkpop to include important links on your page and even launch storefronts to sell directly on the platforms where you are engaging with followers. Consumers can then browse a Shopify merchant’s selection of products and make purchases directly on Linkpop without having to leave the app they were using.

Shivali:

Hello everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Helium 10 Weekly Buzz. My name is Shivali Patel, and this is the show where we get you familiar with the latest news in the Amazon and e-commerce space interview people in the industry we think you need to hear from, and provide a training tip of the week that will give you serious strategies for serious sellers of any level in the Amazon, Walmart and e-commerce world. Let’s see what’s buzzing this week. Today, we’ll cover Shopify launching Linkpop among other breaking news pieces. Talk to a very experienced helium tent elite member, and discuss how to use Magnet to find highly searched for and relevant keywords to optimize your listing and bullet points. Let’s get started. Up first, we have Amazon recently introduced new seller incentives to help sellers grow their business. It is essentially a suite of benefits that can help you grow your brand scale, your business, and promote your products.

Shivali:

You can think of things along the line of, Brand Registry, A+ content, FBA AutomatedPricing and Advertising that can assist Amazon sellers to generate sales more quickly. So who is eligible? I’m glad you asked, new professional sellers who either listed their first product on or after January 1st, 2022 in either the US, Japan, or European markets, or are expanding into those marketplaces are eligible and through new seller incentives, eligible sellers who take the required actions can actually qualify for benefits that total over $50,000 in potential value. So some of those bonuses include getting a 5% bonus on up to $1 million in eligible branded sales if you enroll in brand registry and you identify as the brand owner. You can also receive credits for Amazon vine and transparency, and on a different note, if you opt for FBA, you can earn up to $200 in credits for sponsored products, for shipping to fulfillment centers, and automatic enrollment and FBA new selection that provides free monthly storage liquidation and returns processing for the eligible new to FBA products.

Shivali:

Make sure that you head over to your Seller Central to get more information. Now, next up we have some exciting Walmart news. This March marks two years since the launch of Walmart fulfillment services, which is the equivalent of the service is kind of like Amazon FBA, but the platform’s low-cost fulfillment solution has seen over 500% growth on their gross merchandise volume. And it’s only expected to continue to increase. So to ensure that even more sellers take advantage of what’s to come going forward, and in celebration of their second anniversary is offering bonuses to new WFS sellers who sign up and inbound at least one item between February 21st and April 30th, 2022. So sellers are to receive free storage and 10% off fulfillment for the first 90 days. Statistically speaking, sellers who use WFS to fulfill orders are seeing 50% average sales growth for their items and with their Walmart preferred carrier program that they launched last year to help save on inbound transportation costs for participating sellers.

Shivali:

It’s clear that there’s many reasons to be a part of WFS and you are likely to have repeat customers if you wanna get started, just visit marketplace.walmart.com/walmart-fulfillment-services for more information, and if you’re building your brand alone, but you don’t wanna feel alone, be sure to check out Project W on our YouTube page. Lastly, some news in Shopify Shopify has entered the link in Bio market it with the launch of their new tool called Linkpop. And so, as you know, and you’ve probably seen, there’s been an influx in creators and businesses using a similar feature to help them directly sell products. Well, you can now use Linkpop to include important links on your page and even launch storefronts to sell directly on the platforms where you’re engaging with your followers. Consumers can then browse a Shopify merchant selection of products and make purchases directly on Linkpop without ever having to leave the app that they were using.

Shivali:

And yes, they can’t see all of the details that are associated with a product catalog before making a purchase to. All you have to do to make use of the feature, set up an account, link it to your Shopify, and start adding shoppable links to that page. Whether it’s articles, websites, playlists, videos, et cetera, you name it. You have your pick. And once a merchant sets up an account, you can share up to 200 links on that Linkpop, and what’s even cooler. You can customize different parts of your Linkpop page, and even include built-in analytics to gain insight on how that traffic is really interacting with your pages. Metrics include link clicks and unique visitors. This tool is able to be used by just about anyone, but the shoppable links are only available to Shopify merchants. So that is all the breaking news we have for you today. I’m thrilled that you get to hear from this person I’m about to bring in this next segment. I’d like to welcome Sasha, who is a Helium 10 Elite member and was born and grew up in Ukraine and therefore conducts a lot of business on that side of the world. His first introduction was bringing a bunch of tech to Moscow in the nineties. So he’s been around for a long while in the business space and has a very long list of experience with startups. I’m please, to introduce Sasha. Hi there. Great to have you.

Sasha:

Hi, Shivali good to talk to you.

Shivali:

Yeah, likewise. You know, we had to build you some suspense since this viewership is in for a treat, right?

Sasha:

Yeah. I think I threw you a little bit of a challenge there.

Shivali:

So I have a few questions for you today naturally. I would love to know how did you exactly get started in the Amazon and e-commerce space and what were you doing before?

Sasha:

I see. Well, I started with Amazon on a dare really. It was one of my college classmates and I, we had an argument about marketing his business and he has a successful business on his website and I guaranteed him that I could make his products more successful on Amazon. And so on that day we started.

Shivali:

Wow. Well, you know, I think we would all like a friend like you, who tosses us that challenge, but that’s amazing, right? That’s such a unique experience and unique story. So knowing what you know now, right. You’ve been in business for quite some years now, what is something that you would like to tell a new seller who might be in your shoes when you were first getting started or is just interested in getting started?

Sasha:

Oh, you know, one of the recommendations that I always make to new entrepreneurs is to partner with other entrepreneurs because I think today the tendency and the impetus is to, to start by yourself because maybe you wanna  side gig, or maybe you want to get away from the corporate environment. And so it starts with yourself. But I think today it’s a good approach and I think it’s a better approach to divide and conquer and focus more outside of yourself. So for example, I like to focus on product development and then I will have someone else focus on marketing or vice versa. I will focus on marketing and somebody else will do product development. So we split it up and I recommend to get started with that, to join a networking community, maybe a meetup group Helium 10 has a great networking meet up that I participate in every Friday. So I think that’s a good way for young entrepreneurs to get started and get exposed and find a way to specialize in partners.

Shivali:

Yeah, for sure. And I love what you said, both of those things, right? Networking is so important and feeling like there’s a sense of community, even if you’re building something alone. And on top of that, I think we always forget that everybody has a strong suit, right? We don’t have to do it all. So I love what you said about partnership. What are the goals or dreams for the future of your business?

Sasha:

I focus a little bit more on goals than dreams because dreams are again focused very much on yourself. And I like to think outside and the goals for me and my partners is to find exit for those partners that are five figure sellers. I’d like to get them to grow into the seven figure sellers and I call that the five to seven plan focus on growing the business and then finding an exit in two to three years.

Shivali:

Awesome. Wonderful. Well, thank you so much for being on, for spending your time with us, sharing your story, and providing this great insight. It’s been a pleasure to have you and learn even the smallest fractions of what’s been the becoming of your e-commerce journey.

Sasha:

Thank you, Shivali. Great to be with you.

Shivali:

Take care. With that, I’ll pass the baton forward for a bit to Bradley Sutton, our Director of Training here at Helium 10 to give you our tip of the week. He’ll be talking to you a little bit about how to use magnet to find a plethora of high volume relevant search term keywords.

Bradley Sutton:

In this video, I’m gonna show you how with just a couple clicks of your mouse button, you can get high level data on a number of keywords at the same time here in magnet. Let’s go ahead and hop right into the tool. Now the other videos, we’re all showing you this first tab here, which is the fine suggestions, but in this video, we’re gonna have you click on analyze keywords. All right. So Analyze Keywords is gonna have you enter in multiple keywords at the same time. So for example I’m gonna enter in coffin shelf and then I’m gonna hit a comma. Let me go ahead and put in maybe coffin mirror. Let’s go ahead and put Gothic decor and I could have copied, I could have paste it into here. I could also put it line by line. It’s important that I put either a comma, not a space.

Bradley Sutton:

That’s how I know to put a new phrase right here. So let’s just do one more. Let’s do coffin tray, and then comma puts it right here that I am finished with that keyword. I can do up 200 keywords. Now I can hit Analyze Keywords. So let’s go ahead and do that. And then now, as you can see, it is giving me top level information on these keywords, showing me the average search volume here, search volume distribution, add the word frequency. And then here are the top level information for each of these, the Magnet IQ score, the Search Volume, the Search Volume trends, Sponsored ASINs, Competing Products, the CPR number, and titled density. So again, I could do this on up to 200. Now, let me show you guys a cool little hack on something that could really give you some insights into your competitor.

Bradley Sutton:

Let’s go ahead and go to Amazon and type in coffin shelf. All right. And let’s take a look at one of these products here that are selling well. Let’s just take a look at this coffin shelf. It’s one of the competitors and actually, no, their BSR is pretty high. Let’s go ahead and look at this coffin shelf makeup holder, and I’m gonna hit this. I’m gonna hit run on Cerebro. Now Cerebro is another keyword research tool that we have here and we have videos on how to do that, but let me just show you how cool this, this tool is. Let’s say I wanted to find out what is the page one reach for this product for their higher search volume. In other words, how many people have seen my competitor’s product on page one per month? Right? Watch what I’m gonna do.

Bradley Sutton:

I’m gonna say, Hey, show me the keywords that have at least 1000 search volume that this product is instead of page one. Let’s just say top 10 reach. I wanna see what’s our top 10 reach. All right. And I’m gonna hit apply filters. All right. So here, this product Cerebro told me that this product is on page one, the first 10 results for keywords, at least 1000 searches for 34 keywords. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to export this and I’m gonna copy it all to the clipboard. Now I’m going to go into Magnet. So I’m just going to refresh the Magnet screen here, and then I’m going to hit Analyze Keywords, and I’m going to paste these keywords here. All right. So I paste it right in as separate keywords. Now I’m going to go ahead and search for these, analyze these keywords.

Bradley Sutton:

And as you can see here, take a look here. Here’s the search volume of all of these keywords. All right. So one thing I wanna see here is the total search volume. All right. So basically if I was looking for the page one, top 10 reach of my competitor’s product, there are 200,000 people per month, approximately who are seeing my competitors product in the top 10 search results all right. Every month. So that’s kind of like interesting to note that, wow, all right, what is my page one, reach and compare yours to them. This shows some other average metrics such as the average number of competing products and Magnet IQ score. But this is a great way to kind of see how you or your competitor is doing. I like taking like top 10 reach, or maybe just all of page one. I’ll do like, show me the keywords where they’re in the top 50 or something like that.

Bradley Sutton:

So again, the Analyze Keywords tab is really cool because it’s not going out and getting and finding other potentially relevant keywords. Like the other tab is what is doing is giving you top level information on the set of keywords that you are entering into the tool so that you can instantly see aggregated search volume and see how it’s averaged out for one of your competitors or just in a certain niche. Or maybe you just wanna know like, Hey, out of these top 10 keywords that have coffin in it, you know what, it’s the search volume or what’s the title density for these? The possibilities are endless guys. So this is something that was just added before. Before you had to do this on the same Magnet screen. Now in our new version of Magnet, we have this separate tab dedicated to this. So again, play around with it. You can put anywhere from two to 200 different phrases here to get that top level information, hope you’ve enjoyed this series on Magnet. We’ll see you in the next series of videos.

Shivali:

I hope you guys make use of the Analyze Keyword section of Magnet, as well as just Magnet itself, right? Because it’s not so much the knowledge itself that’s power, but it’s actually utilizing that knowledge. So speaking of utilizing the resources that are available to you, I hope all of you are also subscribed to our YouTube channel. Take a second to hit like and subscribe, if you’re not.
